Since a teenager, Sam has studied and played with some of the top drummers and instrumentalists including Jeff Hamilton, Justin DiCioccio, Benny Green, and Sarah Hanahan to name a few. In 2020, he decided to further his musical education at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where he continued to study with greats such as Peter Erskine, William Kennedy, Alan Pasqua, Clarence Penn, Bob Mintzer and more. Sam graduated from USC with his Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies in 2024. He also dedicates time to teaching, aiming to ignite a similar passion in his students by creating an engaging and musically nurturing environment that fosters creativity, individuality, and growth. It is undeniable that Sam Rossi brings a unique and fresh fire to any musical performance that he is a part of, which can be heard in any of his upcoming live performances and recordings of past shows. Additionally, Sam can be heard with his band FAUNA that he co-leads with keyboardist Abe Luedtke and bassist & vocalist Dominic Melendrez.
